Forward Acting Rupture Disc

The composite bursting disc consists of a strength membrane, sealing membrane, and other components. A support holder is added for service conditions requiring back pressure resistance. Holes and slits (radial or circumferential) that weaken material strength are arranged on the strength membrane and support holder. Under overpressure conditions, tensile failure occurs at the cross-section with the minimum hole spacing.

• Suitable for gaseous and liquid media as well as working conditions with medium and low bursting pressure
• The applicable temperature range must be considered when selecting the sealing membrane
• The maximum operating pressure can reach 80% of the minimum bursting pressure
• Fragments may be generated upon rupture; series installation with safety valves is not recommended
• Large-diameter LF type bursting discs can achieve extremely low bursting pressure, suitable for dust venting and explosion suppression applications
• Model code LF for versions without support holder; model code LFT for versions fitted with support holder
• The product nameplate bears TS or CE marking
